Really Dumb Things They Said
Really Dumb Thing New York Times Board Member Said!
Hello, and welcome to ATP’s, Really Dumb Things, They Said. I’m Barry Nussbaum.
Hold on to your chairs, America. Here comes yet another major dumb comment from The New York Times.
This time from editorial board member Mara Gay. “We have tens of millions of Trump voters who continue to believe that the rights of citizens are under threat by simple virtue of having to share the democracy with others. I think as long as they see Americanness as the same as whiteness, this is going to continue.
I was on Long Island, and I was really disturbed. I saw you know, dozens and dozens of pickup trucks with, you know, expletives against Joe Biden on the back of them, Trump flags, and in some cases just dozens of American flags, which, you know, is also just disturbing because essentially the message was clear.
This is my country. This is not your country. And I own this.
“Do you follow her illogical, dumb conclusion that the American flag and Trump flags are disturbing because they convey the message that the flag owner owns the United States? For everyone else, well, it’s just not their country, so the American flag is for Trump supporters only? It triggered this poor snowflake, New York Times writer.
Dumb paper, dumb writer, and this writer was given airtime on dumb MSNBC without any pushback on her completely dumb flag theory.
