Really Dumb Things They Said
In Virginia Schools 9/11 is About Protecting Islam
Hello, and welcome to, Really Dumb Things They Said. I’m Barry Nussbaum. The Virginia Department of Education has published a new video entitled “Culturally Responsive and Inclusive 9/11 Commemoration.”
It details how Virginia public school teachers should handle the upcoming 20th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, jihad terror attacks that killed nearly 3,000 Americans. The emphasis on that day and thereafter must not be on the ideology of the attackers or the ongoing jihad terror threat around the world. But rather, the new focus is entirely on acknowledging and eradicating what the video calls anti-Muslim racism. The video is narrated by a hijab-wearing woman who describes herself as a professional lecturer at American University and a Paragon Education Consulting President. I don’t even know what that is.
She has an insanely dumb interpretation of American history’s darkest day. The Virginia public schools that implement this curriculum will give students a presentation on the 20th anniversary of the worst attack ever on American soil. This presentation will portray Muslims as the primary victims of those attacks and make Herculean efforts to deflect attention away from the extremely inconvenient fact that the attacks were perpetrated in the name of Islam and in accord with its teaching.
Parents, if you don’t get involved, the history you know of America and want your children to get is not going to be the history they’re learning as truth. This isn’t just dumb. They’re being taught a lie, and you need to do something about it.
