Iran & Hezbollah To Withdraw Troops Assad Claims Don’t Exist
After suffering massive losses from Israeli missile strikes over the last several months, Iran and its Shi’ite militia proxy, Hezbollah are allegedly withdrawing their troops from the area of Southern Syria that borders the Israeli Golan Heights. Days after Russian FM Sergei Lavrov called for, and months after Israel insisted, the Islamic Republic appears to be on the verge of retreating from the last rebel held areas of the war-torn state. Interestingly, this report comes out the day after Syrian President Assad claimed there were no Iranian “troops” in his country. Is a fissure erupting between Tehran and Moscow?
