Congressmen Bring Motion To Block F-35 Sale To Turkey
A bipartisan group of US Congressmen is introducing a motion to halt the sale of 100 Lockheed-Martin F-35 fighter jets to Turkey, citing President Erdogan’s increasingly brutal domestic crackdown on the press and opposition, and the country’s close ties with Russia. Turkey’s outrageous response to the US moving its Israeli Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem should also be cause for concern, recalling your ambassador is not representative of a stable relationship. Turkey has also grown increasingly hostile to Israel in recent months, and openly supports the international terrorist organization HAMAS. President Erdogan has reversed decades of progress accomplished by the great reformer Ataturk, and is increasingly more belligerent domestically and abroad; arming him with 100 of the world’s most advanced fighter planes is a decision that could certainly come back to haunt the US and its allies.
If you have an opinion on this policy, CALL your congressmen and give them your opinion on the ‘Ban F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Sales to Turkey Act’!
