Really Dumb Things They Said
US Navy is Now The Progressive Navy

Hello, and welcome to the ATP series we call Really Dumb Things, They Said.
The U.S. Navy is the premier oceanic fighting force on planet Earth. The Navy keeps the oceans free and safe for America and its allies around the world. You know, they’re warriors at sea, but now they have a new directive.
Let me read you some of it, “As a key member of Task Force One Navy, I will invest the time, attention and empathy required to analyze and evaluate navy wide issues related to racism, sexism, embolism, and other structural and interpersonal biases.
I pledge to be actively inclusive in public and private spheres where I live and work proactively, encouraging others to do the same. I pledge to advocate for and acknowledge all lived experiences and intersectional identities of every sailor in the Navy.
I pledge to engage in ongoing self-reflection, education, and knowledge sharing to better myself and my opportunities.”
There’s more, but you get the idea. The U.S. Navy is now the progressive Navy. Big on intersectional identities and progressive relating to each other.
Boy, remember when the Navy used to be all about freedom and protecting the United States. Now they woke it up, and they’ve gotten really dumb.
