Really Dumb Things They Said
The US Will House Immigrants In Hotels

Hello, and welcome to ATP Report’s, Really Dumb Things, They Said.
Very famous Ivy League University, Columbia University in New York, is planning to conduct six graduation ceremonies for students, according to their race, their ethnic backgrounds, their income level, and other self-identifications. A move, critics are labeling as undoing the work of 100 years of the civil rights era and taking a step back towards re-segregating our universities.
The school’s website details the upcoming graduation for, get this, Natives, Asians, and Latinx. I’m not sure what that is. Black students, and it’s going to be in April at Columbia College, Columbia Engineering the general studies programs, and at Barnard College. Another ceremony is called FLI graduation, and it’s for First-Generation and/or Low-Income community members.
Then they have lavender graduation for the LGBTIAQ community. I’m not sure exactly what that means. Quote, “In honor of Columbia’s diverse student community, and complimenting the school and university-wide graduation ceremonies. We are proud also to offer multicultural graduation celebrations, which provide a more intimate setting for students who self-identify in a variety of ways,” the university web page now states.
Yes, you understood that correctly, America. After a century of working to desegregate American schools and treat everybody equally. One of America’s oldest and most prestigious schools is bragging about racial segregation on their campus for graduation. How dumb is this?
