New York Times Wont Apologize for Giving the Opinion Page to Terrorist Murderer!

Share

In the days after the once great New York Times gave it’s OPINION  page to Palestinian terrorist murderer Marwan Barghouti

the outcry has continued to grow. And yet the NYT refuses to apologize, refuses to retract, refuses to fully correct. Their lack of appropriate response tells more about what they think then horrendous mistake of giving  Barghouti  their guest opinion spot in the first place. As I explained yesterday, he  spewed  paragraph after paragraph of lies about Israel, written from prison where Barghouti is currently serving five life sentences +40 years for planning and executing murderous attacks in Israel.  Imagine the outrage if infamous mass murderer Captain Nidal Hassan was put on the New York Times opinion page to spout about lies about discrimination in the United States and the editorial board neglected to mention his shot over 40  people at Ford Hood in Texas in 2009.

After an out pouring of criticism here is the NYT “correction”:

“This article explained the writer’s prison sentence but neglected to provide sufficient context by stating the offenses of which he was convicted. They were five counts of murder and membership in a terrorist organization. Mr. Barghouti declined to offer a defense at his trial and refused to recognize the Israeli court’s jurisdiction and legitimacy.”

In other words, after millions had read the opinion editorial, which listed the author as a Palestinian leader and parliamentarian, the mediocre note shows clearly that the NYT is a bastion of fake news.
