Really Dumb Things They Said
New York Times Reporter Said One Day We Will Stop Talking About the Lab Leak Theory and Admit It’s Racist Roots

Hello, and welcome to ATP’s, Really Dumb Things, They Said. I’m Barry Nussbaum.
Okay, here’s another doozy from a big-time reporter. A New York Times writer covering the COVID-19 pandemic said something you may not believe.
Apoorva Mandavilli, the Time Science and Global Health Reporter, said this, “Someday we will stop talking about the lab leak theory and maybe even admit its racist roots, but alas, that day is not yet here.”
Now we’re talking about a theory that is now being discussed not as a possibility but as a probability by medical experts around the world, but for The New York Times, it’s obvious when you don’t have a valid fact-based rebuttal to a belief you don’t like, well, you just call it racist.
Meanwhile, trillions and trillions of dollars have been lost worldwide since the Chinese virus has circled the world. Oops, I said Chinese virus. You know, because most infectious diseases are named after the place of origin, like the Hong Kong flu or the Ebola virus. But these days, you are a racist if you follow those medical protocols. I guess that means me too.
