Really Dumb Things They Said
How Would You Describe Someone Accused of Terror Attacks?

Hello, and welcome to American Truth Project’s, Really Dumb Things, They Said. I’m Barry Nussbaum.
How would you describe a man convicted of terror attacks that murdered five people and are accused of orchestrating dozens of other shootings and suicide bombings that may have killed 50 or more?
Well, one would think you’d call that guy correctly a murdering terrorist, but when the murderer is a Palestinian and the victims are Israeli, not so much.
The Associated Press has published a background piece on Marwan Barghouti, who’s currently serving multiple life sentences in Israeli prison for these terror attacks that killed dozens during the second intifada.
The story describes this gentleman as a revolutionary leader in the mold of Nelson Mandela or Fidel Castro. One was a great leader. One is a murdering terrorist.
I guess to the Associated Press that’s the same. So, the Associated Press writes that Israel considers Barghouti and other Palestinians jailed for security offenses to be terrorists as if it’s not proven.
It’s disgusting, but what’s worse is the story was reprinted by major media outlets like The Washington Post and The New York Times, leaving millions of readers in the dark about who Barghouti really is and how bad he really is. The man is a mass murderer, and now he’s like Nelson Mandela, according to people who don’t know any better.
So, the really dumb things said by the Associated Press were repeated by The Washington Post and NBC. All are lazy journalists. All are simply repeating a horrible lie, which makes them all really, really dumb.
