Really Dumb Things They Said
Cornell University Students Showed Support for Racial Segregation

Hello, and welcome to ATP’s, Really Dumb Things, They Said. I’m Barry Nussbaum.
Cornell University students have expressed support for racial segregation on campus after the school allowed white students to enroll in a rock-climbing class originally restricted to minority students.
Cornell first offered the BIPOC rock climbing in the spring of 2021 exclusively to “people who identify as black, indigenous, Latino, Asian or other people of color, BIPOC.” Students enrolled in the course said that segregating the class is, “a small step towards greater racial equality.”
So, at the end of the day, there’s an issue of inaccessibility for minorities in this white-centric sport, and BIPOC rock climbing is a small step to, well, desegregate that community. You understand the logic, so a racist, exclusionary class that won’t admit white students, solves racism.
Did you get it? You solve racism by being a racist.
So, Cornell should be ashamed that this dumbness is out in public, and they are supporting it.
