Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib called for the abolishment of the police following the fatal shooting of a black man, Daunte Wright. The Michigan representative made the radical declaration on Twitter one day after Wright was shot dead at a traffic stop in Minnesota.

A white cop reached for her gun instead of a taser, which had been characterized as an accident. Here’s what she said, ‘It wasn’t an accident. Police shoot in our country, and it is inherently and intentionally racist.

Daunte Wright was met with aggression and violence. I’m done with those who condone government-funded murder-no more policing, no more incarceration, and militarization. It can’t be reformed.”

So, let’s be very clear. According to Congresswoman Tlaib, abolish the police, abolish the prisons, abolish the jails, and abolish the military. This is the dumbest comment in the history of a member of Congress who has ever gotten in front of a microphone, ever.
