The president, who can barely deviate from his teleprompter without saying dumb things, didn’t disappoint the other day when he spoke to the team behind the Mars mission in a video conference hookup.

The head of Guidance, Navigation, and Control Operations at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory appreciated the president for taking the time to talk to her team. Here’s what the president said, “Are you kidding me? What an honor this is. This is an incredible honor, and it’s amazing. Americans of Indian descent are taking over the country.”

The president ad-libbed, “you, my vice president, my speechwriter.” He said that. Vice President Kamala Harris’s family includes roots in India and Jamaica. Biden’s director of speechwriting, Vinay Reddy, is the son of an Indian parent, and yep, Indians are clearly taking over America, according to President Biden, because he knows a couple of them.
