Really Dumb Things They Said
A Former CNN Freelance Contributor Tweeted The World Today Needs A Hitler
Hello, and welcome to ATP’s, Really Dumb Things They Said.
I’m Barry Nussbaum. Well, it happened again at CNN, more outrageousness.
On Sunday, former CNN freelance contributor out of Pakistan, Adeel Raja, tweeted out that, “The world today needs a Hitler.” This is in response to the conflict between Israel and Hamas.
It took CNN’s communication boss several hours to respond to the massive outrage and criticism on social media. The incident harkened back to 2019 when a CNN photo editor was fired after praising how “Four Jewish pigs were killed in Jerusalem by Hamas.”
The new one, the new tweet, has now been deleted, as it started making the rounds shortly after it was posted everywhere. Twitter sleuths and conservative media types immediately started searching through his older tweets for other messages with similar views, and boy, did they dredge up a lot of nasty stuff from this CNN guy.
Some of Raja’s abhorrent comments include, “Heil Hitler,” and “The only reason I’m supporting Germany in the finals is Hitler was a German and he did good with those Jews.” Both of those tweets were put out by him in 2014, and he stayed at CNN after that.
This commentator has 54 articles under his byline at CNN, and the articles date back to the start of 2014. Which meant, CNN had been relying on this guy for over seven years of spewing his hatred of Jews on the air and social media. Shame on CNN for putting this really dumb guy on their platform for seven years, until last week
