President Biden’s $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan just passed the Senate and was signed by the President. The budget-busting legislation sold as emergency COVID response and stimulus. Well, you can’t believe what just happened. Even the liberal-leaning fact-checking website PolitiFact has pointed out that almost all of the spending in 1.9 trillion dollars is unrelated to the health effects of COVID-19.
“Total spending directly on COVID-19’s health impacts ranges from 100 to 160 billion,” fact-checker Jon Greenberg wrote, “At the high end direct COVID-19 spending represents about 8.5% of the bills $1.9 trillion costs.”
Did you hear what I just said? 8.5% of the COVID bill is going to be spent on COVID. The rest is pork. I’m serious, and the government is already broke.
