Mercer University Theology Professor Wrote a Prayer to Help Her ‘Hate White People’
Barry Nussbaum: Hello, and welcome to American Truth Projects, Really Dumb Things, They Said. I'm Barry Nussbaum. This is a doozy.
Mercer University theology professor Chanequa Barnes wrote a prayer in which she asked God to help her, "Hate white people, specifically the nice ones, such as, Fox News loving, Trump-supporting voters who don't see color." She published A Prayer of a Weary Black Women in the book of A Rhythm of Prayer A Collection of Meditations for Renewal. Here's the rest of it.
"Dear God, please help me hate the white people." The professor began in her prayer titled A Prayer of a Weary Black Woman which was published in A Rhythm of Prayer A Collection of Meditations for Renewal.
It gets better, "I want to stop caring about them, individually and collectively. I want to stop caring about their misguided racist souls. To stop believing that they can be better. That they can stop being racist."
What a loving human being she is, and what a very dumb woman she is on top of all the love because, well, you know, it's just a prayer.
