Really Dumb Things They Said
Charges Dropped Against Protesters that Attempted to Derail Train
Hello, and welcome to American Truth Projects, Really Dumb Things, They Said. I’m Barry Nussbaum.
In Los Angeles County a veteran prosecutor spoke out after being reprimanded for questioning the district attorney. A guy named George Gascon and his decision to drop charges against three anti-police protesters that attempted to derail a train during a protest in November.
Surveillance video showed them putting stuff on the track to derail the train just seconds before it arrived. The scary moment was seen on film, and the deputies who arrived on the scene removed the debris just 15 seconds before the metro train sped through the crossing.
The three defendants were charged with felony attempted train wrecking, a charge where individuals face life without parole. Other charges against them include unlawful obstruction of a railroad, a two to four year sentence in the county jail.
Get this! All the charges were dropped by the new DA on his first day in office, and Union Pacific is outraged. The DA that brought the charges is outraged, and he should be. His name is Richard Doyle, and he refused to drop the charges because he believes there’s clear and convincing evidence on tape showing the suspects committing the crime trying to derail a speeding train but get this.
The brand-new DA, on his first day in office, reprimanded him and transferred him to a very insignificant job as punishment. The three defendants were set free with no charges because they were protesting on behalf of BLM, and that allows you to do anything you want in Los Angeles County.
Where’s the outrage in response to the ultra-left-wing DA who threw out felony charges? Who could have put these guys in prison for life?
I’m listening. I’m not hearing it. Wouldn’t you call this one dumb?
